Our stay here was wonderful from the moment we checked in throughout our entire stay. The staff were warm and welcoming, accommodating our every need. Our room was comfortable, cozy and very convenient for us and our dog, Vinny. I took advantage of a spa facial treatment and we both treated ourselves to an amazing hottub experience. The rooftop decks are not to be missed, breathtaking views of the valley, comfortable seating along with fireplaces and plantings. We hope to return to this special oasis.

Francis gave me the best massage of my life so far! I walked in as a tired mom, a bit worn out from carrying a 20lb baby all day every day, and I walked out feeling refreshed, nimble and energized. Francis gave an intense, strong deep tissue massage, targeting the problem areas we discussed, and gave extra care to soreness around my glutes and hips which are related to my sciatic pain. I slept very well the night after and am grateful for the relief in muscle tension. I highly recommend asking for Francis for your massage here!

Choose the Dutchess if you want A Time Machine to old-time Elegance. The luxury of the Dutchess Inn isn’t found in the polished predictability of rebranded big-box hotels like Hilton or Marriott. Instead, it offers something far more precious: a portal back to the 1920s, when inns were sanctuaries of character and quiet contemplation. The elevator reminds me of my first apartment in Manhattan off Mulberry in 1995; slow enough to remind you that it’s time to take the armor off and pause the monkey brain. My stay began with the perfect touch, pardon the pun: spa services that immediately set the tone for restoration. Jeff, a skilled therapist, worked out the deep knots between my shoulder blades and offered practical tips I could use long after checkout. It was exactly what I needed to transition from the chaos of travel into the inn’s slower, more intentional rhythm. I stayed in the Polo Room, where jazz and swing played endlessly, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Lena Horne, Nancy Wilson, Nat King Cole and their voices filling the space like old friends. Ornate mirrors adorned the walls, reflecting both light and a bygone era. The refurbished furniture and thoughtful décor reminded me of all the quiet “me time” I’ve been missing in our hurried modern world. It inspired me to write again, to rediscover simple pleasures I’d let slip away when I left NYC years ago. The location proved equally serendipitous. Bank Square Coffeehouse and Beacon Bakery bookended the Dutchess, meaning I never had to venture far for sustenance. The storefront art scattered throughout the neighborhood and the excellent Palestinian restaurant just blocks away confirmed I’d landed on the right side of town: where solidarity lives strong and community still means something. This isn’t a hotel for those seeking sameness. It’s a refuge for anyone craving authenticity, soul, and a slower rhythm. The Dutchess Inn reminded me that true luxury is measured not in thread count, but in how a place makes you feel and I left feeling restored.

From the very beginning, our experience with The Dutchess Inn was nothing short of stellar. Before we even arrived, Megan was incredibly patient and thorough in helping me book our stay, answering questions about the area, surrounding things to do, and most importantly, accommodating our large breed dog. Her care felt genuine, not transactional, and that set the tone immediately. I also had the pleasure of speaking with Carrie (I hope I’m spelling that right!) about early check-in and other perks, and she was just as warm and informative. The moment we stepped into the lobby, it felt like a hug; warm, softly lit, beautifully scented, and thoughtfully designed with Beacon’s historic charm layered with subtle elevated touches from both prominent and emerging designers. Megan graciously allowed us to stay in the Hamilton King suite with our pup, which was the perfect way to kick off the weekend. When we opened the door to our room, my fiancé and I both just said, “wow.” It was spacious, spotless, perfectly toasty despite the freezing NY temps, and the faint traditional jazz playing (Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and more) made it impossible not to instantly relax. Even our dog, who can be particular, settled in right away. Throughout our stay, Megan and Carrie treated our pup like royalty and checked in frequently to make sure everything was to our liking. And it truly was nothing short of perfect. From the coffee and tea offerings to the fireplaces, solarium, and rooftop deck, every detail made us feel at home. You can feel when a team genuinely cares about their guests and their space, and it shows here. PS I also booked a full-body restorative massage at the spa with Krysten, and I walked out a completely new person. 10/10! Thank you to The Dutchess Inn team for giving us exactly what we needed. I’m already planning our next visit :)

Our stay at The Dutchess Inn & Spa was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were met with warmth and hospitality that made our visit truly special. The inn itself is absolutely beautiful and charming. A special thank you to Alex, Bethany, and Lily, who went above and beyond to make our experience seamless. They were incredibly gracious, even holding our bags so we could freely explore the lovely town of Beacon. Their kindness and attentiveness did not go unnoticed, and we are so grateful for their hospitality. We would gladly return in the future. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a warm and welcoming stay in Beacon!

If you could do 11 stars I’d still want more. Absolutely the nicest folks, the place is spotless, the bed is perfect, the “salon” is so warm and peaceful. The Dutchess is perfect. They also treat your pet like royalty, so 20 out of 10 stars.

Just had a fabulous stay at the Dutchess Inn & Spa at Beacon! We traveled for my sister’s birthday. The staff were so kind, helpful, and friendly. They added a little sparkle to my sister’s stay which was unexpected and sweet of them. They gave great recommendations- everything from where to get a great bottle of wine, to a fabulous dinner and brunch spot. The rooms were gorgeous!! Both my Mother and Sister enjoyed their massages. My personal favorite part was the rooftop views, breeze, and comfy atmosphere. I am looking forward to returning for another visit someday!
